Helping You Move Beyond Pain
As one of the few practitioners who is both a Certified Essential Somatics Movement Teacher and a Florida-Licensed Massage Therapist (MA109601), I combine nervous system retraining with skilled, hands-on therapy to help you relieve chronic muscle tension and create lasting change, not just temporary relief.

A Path Shaped By My Own Recovery
How it Started
My journey into Somatics wasn't planned. It was born out of necessity. After a debilitating back injury ended my corporate career, I spent years searching for real relief and found none until I discovered the work of Thomas Hanna, PhD, founder of Hanna Somatics.
What Changed
Somatics didn't just help me feel better. It changed how I moved. As I learned to sense and release chronic tension, I retrained my nervous system. I stood differently, walked differently, and stopped unconsciously bracing against pain. I wasn't just managing symptoms anymore. I was changing the patterns that created them. That's what led me to get certified, so I could help others find the same lasting relief.

Going Further
As I taught more clients, I saw that many could progress faster with hands-on guidance, and I wanted to offer immediate relief during a flare-up or after an injury too. So I became a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist (MA109601) and pursued advanced Hands-On Somatics training.

A Rare Combination
Today, I'm one of the few practitioners who is both a Certified Essential Somatics Movement Teacher and a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist (MA109601), trained to work with both the body and the nervous system behind it.
Two Disciplines, One Session, Lasting Change
Most massage therapists work on the body. Most Somatics teachers guide movement. I do both in the same session, combining hands-on bodywork with guided movement to reach what neither approach can fully accomplish alone.
Hands-On Bodywork
Release Today's Tension
Skilled hands-on bodywork helps release chronic muscle tension, reduce discomfort, and improve how your body feels today.
Guided Somatics Movement
Retrain Your Nervous System
Gentle guided movement teaches your nervous system new movement patterns so your muscles stop returning to the same cycle of tension.
Create Lasting Change
Through Somatics Movement Education
Hands-on bodywork and massage help your body release chronic tension and restore movement, but relief that fades isn't the goal. The real goal is learning what your body needs and what you can do about it. That's why I offer private 1:1 Essential Somatics Movement sessions via Zoom. You'll learn what your body needs and how to release tension the moment pain starts, so you can maintain your progress on your own. Contact Carolin directly: 904-200-5703

FROM INJURY TO INSPIRATION
Certified Essential Somatics Movement Teacher and Florida Licensed Massage Therapist (MA109601)
My journey into Somatics wasn't planned—it was born out of necessity. After a debilitating back injury, I was forced to end my corporate career. For years, I lived with chronic pain, searching for answers and trying everything I could to find relief. Nothing addressed the root cause—until I discovered the work of Thomas Hanna, PhD, the founder of Hanna Somatics.
Somatics didn't just help me feel better. It transformed the way I moved. As I learned to sense and release areas of chronic tension, I gradually retrained my nervous system. I stood differently, walked differently, and stopped unconsciously bracing against pain. For the first time in years, I wasn't just managing my symptoms—I was changing the patterns that created them. That experience inspired me to get certified so I could help others find the same lasting relief.

After years of teaching Somatics, I realized many clients could progress even faster with a more hands-on approach. I also wanted to help people find immediate relief during a pain flare-up or after an injury. That led me to become a licensed massage therapist and pursue advanced Hands-On Somatics training.

Today, I offer something few practitioners can: a unique approach that combines active nervous system retraining with skilled hands-on bodywork. Most massage therapists work ON the body. Most Somatics teachers guide movement. I do both—I work WITH your body, or soma, combining movement and touch to help release chronic muscle tension, retrain the patterns that keep pulling you back into pain, and create lasting change rather than temporary relief.
Whether you're looking for private Somatics instruction, Hands-On Somatics, or Medical Massage integrated with Somatic principles, my goal is simple: to help you move with greater ease, reduce pain, and regain confidence in your body.
Today, I play pickleball and enjoy an active lifestyle I once thought I'd lost forever. If Somatics helped me reclaim my life from chronic pain, I believe it can help you, too. I'd be honored to guide you on your journey to recovery.
